Harvest Hamburger Soup

1 pound ground beef

1/2 onion, chopped

2 (10.5 ounce) cans beef consommé

2 cups water

1 1/2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes or 1 (12 ounce) can diced tomatoes

2 tablespoons sugar

1 (11 oz) can corn

2 carrots, peeled and sliced

4 potatoes, peeled and diced

1 teaspoon taco seasoning

Salt and Pepper to taste

Brown ground beef and onion. In crockpot combine all ingredients. Cook until vegetables are tender (or just until you are ready to eat...I usually leave it to simmer all day on low). Makes six servings.
(I have quite a few soup/stew recipes that I really like, so I thought I would post them since Emily asked for some. I really like this recipe in the wintertime or on rainy days)
