Cheesy Garlic Bread

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup mayonaise
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
1 loaf french bread, halved lengthwise

preheat oven to 350
in a large bowl, combine butter, mayonaise, garlic, parmesan cheese, and monterey jack cheese.
Cut each half of french bread into 4 pieces.
Spread the cheese mixture evenly on the bread pieces, and arrange the pieces on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Set the oven to broil; broil until hot and bubbly, about 2 minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
